5-Phase CRK Series now offers drivers with built-in controller!
Driver functions for lower vibration and noise are the same as before, this new series achieves both I/O and RS-485 control to be selected. Drivers with built-in controller also contribute to space-saving and ease in wiring for your convenience.
・Space-Saving, Less Wiring:
Since no separate pulse generator is required, the drivers of this type save space, simplify wiring, and also allow the number of axes to be increased with ease.
・Positioning Data of up to 63 Points:
Up to 63 points of positioning data can be set in the driver. Each data can be set either in the incremental mode or in the absolute mode.
- The positioning data can be set with the control module OPX-2A (sold separately) or via RS-485 connection.

I/O controlled system and RS-485 controlled system can be selected.
・Low Vibration and Noise Achieved by Microstep Drive (Graph below):
The basic step angle of the motor can be divided into a maximum of 250 microstep angles without using any mechanical element such as a reduction gear. As a result, vibration and noise are further reduced.
・Smooth Drive Function for Enhanced Ease of Use (Graph below):
The Smooth Drive Function automatically controls operations via microstep drive, at the same travel distance and speed used in the full-step mode.
・Positioning Operation:
The motor operation speed and movement distance are set in the positioning data and the operation is realized based on the selected positioning data. Single motion, linked motion or sequential operation can be selected.
・Continuous Operation:
The motor operates continuously while the FWD or RVS is ON. If the driver's protective function is actuated, turn the FWD or RVS input OFF. Operation is performed based on the FWD input or RVS input and the operating speed corresponding to the selected operation data number.
・Return to Home Operation:
This function allows an easy return to home operation by using sensors.
・STEPOUT Output Function
・PLS-OUT Output Function
・Multi-axes Operation Function
・Sensor Input Function
・Teaching Function
- When the command signal to the motor and the feedback signal from the encoder are compared, an abnormal deviation detected causing STEPOUT (Misstep detection output) to turn on.
- The motor resolution need not correspond with the encoder resolution because the resolution is matched by the internal encoder electronic gear function.
