Example of Screw Conveyor (Feeder) Transportation Capacity Improvement
Issue
Stabilizing the feed rate of the conveyor and reducing the size of the motor section

Conventional Equipment
Three-phase induction motor 200 W~400 W, gearhead, driving the screw conveyor with a conveyer
- Application
- Transportation of powders, grains, and feed
Conventional Problems
- Need to stabilize transportation speed and volume despite large load fluctuations
- Space saving for equipment and motor parts
Solution
200 W, 400 W Brushless Motor (with earhead)
for compact size and stable transportation

By adopting the high strength and high-torque gearheads and motors of the brushless motor BMU Series and BLE2 Series, the size and weight of these motors are significantly smaller and lighter than when using three-phase induction motors. The motor and gearheads have an IP66 degree of protection for excellent environmental resistance (except for JB gearheads).
In addition, feedback control makes it possible to transport the product at a stable speed, improving the transportation capacity of the equipment.
Specific Application Examples
200 W, 400 W JH gearheads, JB gearheads, JV gearheads

Excellent speed stability ensures stable throughput of the equipment
The speed regulation (with respect to load) is stable at ±0.2 %*1.
When converted to rotation speed, the fluctuation is ±6 r/min at 3000 r/min setting and ±0.3 r/min when a 1/20 gearhead is used.
Stable operation is possible even when the viscosity of the load is high or the load fluctuates. In addition, the speed can be set digitally in units of 1 r/min*2.
In addition, it can be driven at a higher speed than a three-phase induction motor, contributing to a higher throughput of the equipment per hour.
- *1
- When a three-phase induction motor is combined with an inverter, -15 % (reference value)
- *2
- Speed display and setting in conveyor speed (m/sec) is also possible
Small motor and selectable gearheads make it compact and lightweight
These high efficiency motors are smaller than three-phase induction motors, but with higher power. You can make a selection from a wide variety of combination gearhead product lines to suit your application.
By utilizing gearheads to increase torque, the equipment outline can be made smaller and lighter, making motor installation and replacement easier.

With orthogonal hollow shaft type gearheads, couplings, belt-and-pulley systems can be reduced, leading to lower parts costs and assembly labor.
Further space saving can be achieved by changing the motor from a foot-mounted to an right-angle shaft gearhead.
2 driver product lines to choose from according to your application
The driver (Series) to be combined can be selected according to the conditions required for the equipment.
