Inexpensive Industrial Training 3-Axis Small Tabletop Robot Arm That Enables Learning From Both Mechanical and Software Aspects

The Industrial Training robot Motion System Master is a set of teaching robots for technical high schools, higher education institutions, and manufacturing professionals to learn the elements of industrial robots from mechanical and software aspects.
The main body of the robot is structed with parts exposed for learning the structure and mechanism. On the software side, no-code programming using command icons allows you to quickly achieve the desired movement. This is an industrial Training robot for beginners with a compact and lightweight design that can be used in various places like a tabletop. By keeping the price, designed to be widely used in robot human resource education.

Solves Issues Like:

  • To create an environment, can operating the actual equipment by ourselves rather than a simulator
  • General industrial robots are expensive, and multiple units cannot be introduced, so an alternative solution is required in terms of education opportunities for all members
  • To deepen our learning by interacting with machine elements hands-on, however existing industrial training robot kits do not allow us to experience machine design

Robot Structures Useful for Teaching, Learning, and Research

  • Installation area ϕ16 cm, body mass 4.2 kg
  • Maximum reach (horizontal) 390 mm*, payload 1 kg, repetitive positioning accuracy ±0.1 mm
  • *Arm lengths are customizable.
End effectors can be mounted using four attachment holes. Mounting image: AZM28PS gear + EH3 air. The nameplate on the motor indicates the drive motor number (1–3). Easy to visually understand which part is moving. The color coding makes it easy to visually understand which arm is moving by the motor. Lower Arm: Silver Upper Arm: Black Gears can be seen through the opening. Can be checked on the actual machine how much the gears are rotating relative to the motor.

Note

The motor of each axis is not equipped with an electromagnetic brake. When the power is turned off, the output shaft becomes non-excited and loses its holding force. Please handle with care.

The Robot Arms Can Be Replaced or Customized, and the End Effectors Can Be Rearranged.

Arm parts can be replaced. The movable range can be expanded by customizing the length and shape of the arm.
The end effector can be easily attached, allowing the user to create an original robot by reassembling a wide variety of parts.

Study Text Provided

For those beginning to learn robotics with Motion System Master, we provide textbooks that teach basic knowledge of industrial robots, programming, and more.

Easy Programming Even for Beginners

The MRC01 is a robot controller that can control robots equipped with the AZ Series.
The programming software MRC Studio (free of charge) is so simple that even those inexperienced in controlling robots can master it quickly.
The same programming software as the small industrial robot OVR can be used to control, so the skills acquired through learning can be applied directly in the field.
