14 Resolutions for a Wide Range of Applications
Resolution is 100 to 4000 P/R. 14 types are available, including resolutions that are easy to combine with stepper motors and those suitable for the angle indexing.
Angular Accuracy: ±0.36˚ for High Reliability
Oriental Motor's magnetic encoders have an angular accuracy of ±0.36˚
Angular accuracy refers to the difference between the actual rotation angle and the angle output by the encoder.
This reduces the burden of verification at the time of equipment start-up.
Z-phase Signal Improves Home Accuracy
If there is no Z-phase signal for return-to-home, the accuracy of the home position depends on the accuracy of the HOME sensor. Variations in operating speed and ambient temperature will cause variations in home accuracy.
Since the Z-phase signal is output only once per motor revolution, using the Z-phase output during the return-to-home operation improves accuracy.
Easy to Aligning the Mechanical Home and Z-phase Signal
The Z-phase signal is output once per revolution when the encoder connector section is facing down and the shaft flat section (round shaft type) or fixing screw section (hollow shaft type) is in the position indicated by the red arrow.
Direct Control of Encoder Signals Enables System Cost Reduction
When used in combination with the CVD Series, encoder information can be directly captured to monitor position deviation and detect operational errors. There is no need for high-speed counters, which reduces the cost of the host controller.
